Re: another spammy post

How to edit and remove part of a posting and give a warning.

Oh and finding threads have been closed on me...

[Moderator Edit: That shouldn't be a problem, you can post in threads even when they're closed]

Re: another spammy post

So you click Edit by the post and then simply edit it as you would if you were typing the post for the first time, you can then put a warning underneath in bold. Does that not work for you?

Re: another spammy post

I'm guessing that you:

1. Click the edit button on the post.
2. Edit the post, including any warnings, and then save as necessary.

If you need to add a 'formal' warning then you need to use the infraction system. You can do this one of two ways:

1. Use the red/yellow card icons near the reputation icon, you can then issue any warnings/infractions that you need to.

2. View the user profile, click on the 'infractions' tab, then click on 'Give Warning'

You can only do this with users who are at a lower permission level than you though - search the Members list for 'Zippy 1' and have a play

This reminds me of Privett Secondary..and those wooden desks with the lift up lids...and ink wells where the boys would dip your hair if you didn't wrap your hair round your neck...

You will see that if you have received a warning for the post. Only the poster and the mods see it though.
